Every morning on my way to work I enjoy the autumn mood. It is already cold outside but I wear warm clothes and enjoy the landscape.

Had a little disagreement once over food, when our student said no to dessert because she was fat. I said „You’re not fat.“ She said „I am!“ „No, you’re not.“ „Yes, I am. I really am.“ Took a while of her insisting that I realised we were probably on crossed wires, and she meant to say „I’m full“

Well remembered! Our most recent students were: girl from Switzerland, followed by a girl from Switzerland, followed by a lad from Oman, followed by our current German lad. We have a very international household!

What made me smile today, is that instead of one deer bedded down in the grass behind my house…there were two! Resting contentedly and chewing cud with eyes half-closed. I like that they are relaxed around my little haven.
